In Morro D'Oro, in the heart of the green hills of Teramo, lies the Montecchia Olive Oil Mill. You can get there by campagnola (jeep) or on foot, and simply soak up the charm of the olive grove. During the summer months, you will have the opportunity to lose yourself among the rows of olive trees and the scents of the vegetable garden. The journey continues up to the top of the hill, where the view in front of you will unfold all the beauty of the sea on one side and of the mountain on the other, where the peaks of the Gran Sasso soar imposingly.
Imagine the uniqueness of a relaxing yoga practice amidst the olive trees. If you are interested, make a request and it will be arranged upon availability of the teacher, and based on the experience of the participants.
After the walk, a guided tour of the olive oil mill at the production facility will show you how to obtain olive oil of the finest quality, and most importantly, small tricks will be explained to you on how to best preserve the oil without losing its organoleptic and nutritional qualities.
The Olive Oil Sommelier will guide us in tasting this precious gastronomic ingredient, to learn how to become more aware of the product we bring to our tables every day.
Finally, we will taste the oils from the mill, paired with the best products from the garden, strictly seasonal.
The experience is suitable for everyone, adults and children. We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes appropriate to the countryside.
